At Home Workouts……YES PLEASE!

Listen, I am just like every other woman.  I am busy.  I have work to do.  Places to be.  Meetings to attend.  Kids events to be at.  And besides I can not do those workouts things.  They are hard, I can not stay engaged…..It’s so much better if I had time to go to a gym, but I don’t.

What do you mean make time for me???? DUH!  Just said the words and I am there.

But Why in the world are us ladies waiting for permission.  I know I was!  Which is crazy and boy was I NOT pleased at first.  “What do you mean you think I’ll be happier if I lost 20 lbs honey” What kind of thoughtful comment was that?  Ha!  I do still love this man 🙂

Yep!  And that’s when I realized my “True Love”  was telling me something very important.

I was so run down, anxious, unhappy, out of shape, in pain and making everyone around me miserable because of my own misery.  Not fair at all.

But I travel….But I don’t do smooties or shakes….

“But you WILL feel better” he said and so I did.  I wanted to feel better.  I had already accepted my body for what it was but I knew if I could just feel better than it was all worth it.

I received my first Challenge Pack I know I shouldn’t have chosen it for a couple of reasons but the most important one is that I have a neck and shoulder injury so anything high impact was a big no no from my doctors but here were my thoughts.  I wasn’t getting any better by doing nothing or following their recommendations of a medication regimine for my pain.  I wasn’t eating right and felt exhausted and needed more energy.

I did it anyway.  I chose it bc it was a short 25 minutes, I could pop a DVD into my computer before work and started with 10 full weeks of modifications working out in my hotel room and lost 15 lbs!!!!!!

T25, Shakeology and Shaun T had my heart! Followed by Piyo, Insanity Max 30, 21 DAY FIX Extreme, CIZE, Masters Hammer and Chisel, 22 Minute Hard Core, Country Heat, Core De Force, Shift Shop and now for my Next BIG Program 80 DAY Obsession!

Back then we didn’t have portion control containers….That was a whole other breakthru for me….but my first go round my Mantra was as follows:

Today I share with my challengers something called the ALL ACCESS CHALLENGE PACK.  NO MORE DVD’s…    It’s Like Netflix for Fitness and Health! It is the complete ultimate solution to nutrition, meal planning and fitness.  I can stream it everywhere I go. But the key to it all is still Accountability!  My first experience in a challenge group was that I needed to not only show up for me but I needed to show up for others.  We were a team and all in this journey together.

I will never forget a women who posted a video who was doing the same program as me, there were a few of us, and she had one leg.  I was mind blown that with a prosthetic she was doing burpees and tuck jumps , modified or not, made my excuses miniscule compared to her determination.  From that moment I promised to never have another excuse. I will never again say I can’t.

 I CAN Do Hard THINGS and Believe you CAN too!

Yet where do people pull all this motivation and determination from when days get tough……Well for me the day I hadn’t woken up in pain, not sore pain, true physical pain, was the day I realized I am not the person I use to be.  I am a better version of the body I had been given to live this life because I entrusted in myself.  Unless I am sick with a fever I will never miss a day.  My challengers and team depend on me and I depend on them.  Together we are better.  Have you shared your journey with someone today?  The next time someone says “I can’t workout at home or I don’t have time”, Challenge them and say “I Believe YOU CAN”
