Lindsey Kaufman is a Wife to her wonderful Chef Husband and Momma to her two beautiful babes! She started her journey in 2015 after she hit her mid 30’s and her body seemed to slow down and didn’t bounce back as nicely as it used to. She was tired, extremely self-conscious, and battling depression. She was a mostly Stay at Home Mom, who was far from her family and friends and now had two babies under the age of 3. And her husband was a Chef, who worked 70+ hours a week.
Lindsey finally made the decision to take her life back. She knew that she needed to be strong – both mentally and physically for her children. Lindsey didn’t want her kids to see her inner struggle anymore. She wanted to teach them that even though life can be tough, Mommy is strong enough to deal with it. Lindsey wanted her children and husband to be proud of her, and she needed to do a lot of work on herself for that to happen. And it wasn’t just a physical change she was looking for…she needed to start to FEEL good on the inside! She was inspired by her dear friend from high school who introduced her to Beachbody and showed her what it could do for her. Lindsey said “Let’s do it!” and never looked back.
Within four months, she had lost 20 pounds and over 25 inches! But what she gained was worth so much more. She was replacing negative, unhappy thoughts with positive ones. She was able to put herself in social situations that she wouldn’t have otherwise. She was feeling accomplished and proud of herself. The depression was lifting and smiling became easier. She had more energy for her two toddlers! Lindsey was coming back!
Lindsey’s favorite Beachbody program so far has been the 21 Day Fix along with Shakeology. It’s made working out easy & fun! She could do it in her living room with the kids still running around the house. It was over in 30 minutes. And the meal plan was everything she was looking for. She didn’t want to count calories…she just wanted something that was going to be easy to follow…and it was. It took the guesswork out of meal planning. And since mornings are usually pretty busy…having her Shakeology meant that she didn’t have to think about how to get breakfast in her…just grab it and go!
As a mom, she understands the feeling of guilt for taking a few minutes for yourself. You feel like you have to be by your kid’s side every second of the day. But you have to take a few minutes for yourself…it’s so important for you…for your family…for your friends. They need you to be happy too! By taking that “Me” time, you are giving yourself the best gift of all…you are becoming the best version of yourself possible…and that’s a beautiful thing! You are so worth it!
